Scheduled updates - WordPress core and plugins, Node.js and npm dependencies, PHP versions, Laravel packages - with a backup before every update and a check afterwards that the site still works.
Configuration checks, security headers, exposed file review, admin account review and update discipline. Reduces the common paths in - it is not a guarantee.
Application errors, hosting issues, performance problems and configuration faults - WordPress, Node.js or custom code alike. A monthly allowance is included; anything beyond is quoted before we start.
Contact forms, booking pages, ecommerce checkout and other important endpoints are tested end to end, so a broken form is found in minutes rather than weeks.
We expand when a customer asks for something, not because it sounds good on a slide. The order is:

Sometimes a site is old enough that maintaining it costs more than replacing it. A 2017 CMS on a PHP release that lost support in 2018 cannot be updated in place without breaking the theme and half the plugins - rebuilding is the cheaper honest answer, and we will say so when it is true.

Uptime monitoring answers one question: did the homepage load? It does not notice when the thing your customers actually use has quietly stopped working - and that is the failure nobody reports, because the people who hit it simply leave.
On the Business plan we test these paths end to end, on a schedule, the way a customer would. A broken form gets found in minutes instead of the six weeks it usually takes somebody to mention it.
